Appu Nair
Mechanical Engineer by education.Did that for about 7 yrs.Got introduced into computers at workplace.Did small stints with dBase and Foxpro at the time.Inherited a Livelink in 1999,a 8.1.5 version NT that would not stay up.Converted that successfully into a Solaris livelink and that was my initiation into livelink .Also wrote device driver software using semi conductor in proprietary languages as well as unix scripts. Got trained in LAPI and went to work for ConocoPhillips and was able to do considerable work there in Oscript as well as understand a huge livelink system. Came to Houston and started working for KMG,now Anadarko. Wrote a livelink data downloader so they could port all livelink stuff to Documentum, which was pretty impressive and would take care of almost any kind of data in livelink .For the love of livelink working now as a Technical Architect doing a bunch of livelink stuff.I am also exposed to almost very other OpenText product such as Archive,WCM & Artesia as well even though my primary love remains to be still livelink.
