Our New Graded Servcies

You think you have created a good solution, you are pretty sure you have the right architecture, you believe that your solution is scalable and secure. How can you tell for sure? Certainly you can hire an expert consultant to perform the tasks for you and at least have "the throat to choke" should things not be as you hoped.  But that doesn't take advantage of your in-house skills.

The Livelink-Experts.com Graded Services are a suite of  low-cost services validating the architectural, performance, security, and administrative practices within your environment. The services do a relatively short review of related practices, policies, and performance statistics and provide a grade level for specific areas of concern. While the grading crieria are specific to each field under review, they generally work as follows:

  • Grade A: typically this is provided when the thing under review provides evidence to suggest that the goal would be exceeded (eg: faster than required, more scalable than required, more secure than required, more resources than required
  • Grade B: typically this is provided when the thing under review provides evidence to suggest that the goal would be met (eg: as fast as required, as scalable as needed, as secure as required, optimal use of resources
  • Grade C: typically this is provided when the thing under review provides evidence to suggest that the goal would occasionally not be met (eg: occasional long-running transactions, unlikely to recover service within SLA, less secure than required)
  • Grade D: typically this is provided when the thing under review provides evidence to suggest that the goal would frequently fail to be met (eg: all transactions are long-runners, the scalability has major hurdles, there are likely to be major security holes, there is a gross waste of resources
